- Boil your water and let it sit for 30 seconds.
- Fold your filter and rinse it with hot water. This removes paper taste and warms your brewer.
- Add your ground coffee. Give the brewer a gentle shake to level the bed.
- Start your timer and pour just enough water to saturate the grounds—about twice the coffee's weight. For 30 grams, that's 60 grams of water.
- Let it bloom for 30 seconds. You'll see bubbles; that's normal.
- Continue pouring in a slow, circular motion, keeping the water level below the rim. Aim to finish your total water by 1:45 to 2:00.
- Let the water drain completely. Total brew time should be 2.5 to 3.5 minutes.
If it's running too fast, your grind is too coarse. Too slow? Grind finer. It's that simple.
