When we talk about ring-spun cotton, we're talking about a fabric that's softer, stronger, and more breathable than standard cotton. But it does ask for a little more attention in the laundry room. So I'm scoring a good spring care routine on four things:
- Fabric integrity – does the tee keep its shape and feel after washing?
- Color retention – does the print or dye stay sharp, or does it fade fast?
- Comfort – does it stay soft and non-itchy after multiple washes?
- Longevity – how many seasons can you get out of it before it looks tired?
These aren't fancy lab tests. It's what I look for when I'm standing at the counter and someone asks, "How do I keep my tees from falling apart after two washes?"
