Here's where things get interesting. The "USB-C only" crowd will tell you that micro-USB is obsolete and you're living in the past. The "micro-USB is fine" crowd will say USB-C is overhyped and you're paying a premium for nothing.

Truth is, both have a point. USB-C is objectively better in most ways, but it doesn't mean micro-USB devices are useless. If you've got a micro-USB vape that works perfectly, there's no need to toss it. Just be prepared to replace it sooner when the port wears out.

On the other hand, if you're buying new gear and plan to travel, don't ignore the port. A few dollars more for USB-C can save you a lot of frustration later.

And yes, some people just hate change. If you're comfortable with micro-USB and have a drawer full of cables, go ahead and stick with it. Nobody's forcing you to upgrade.
