A decent disposable vape shouldn't turn into a mess the moment temperatures climb. At the very least, it should survive a day in your pocket without leaking, and the battery shouldn't drain twice as fast just because it's warm outside.
Before you buy, give the device a quick once-over. Are the seams between the body and mouthpiece clean? Does the mouthpiece feel firmly attached? Any wobble or gap is a red flag—heat will make those weak points worse. Also, check the bottom: some disposables have a small fill port or vent. You want that sealed tight.
Another baseline is puff count. Many disposables advertise a number like 15,000 puffs, but that's often measured under ideal conditions. In summer, you might vape more often because you're out and about, or less because you're drinking more water. Be honest about your habits. If you're buying for a beach day, a smaller device might be more practical than a giant one that you'll have to babysit.
