Disposable vapes have built-in batteries. If the device is damaged, the battery can short-circuit. That's rare, but it's why you shouldn't gift a device that's been dropped or shows signs of damage. Also, don't charge a disposable unless it has a charging port (most do not). If it runs out, it's meant to be recycled, not recharged.
