If you're buying a new tee specifically for travel, ask yourself (or the shop staff) a couple of things:
- Does the collar have a ribbed knit? A ribbed neckband is stretchier and more resilient than a plain hemmed neckline.
- How does it air dry? If you're on the road, you'll likely air dry at some point. Look for a tee that doesn't turn into cardboard after a hang-dry.
- How long is the back tail? A longer tail means you'll probably tuck or fold it, which can add stress to the collar. A standard hem sits better.
These aren't specs you'll find on the tag—they're things you feel when you handle the tee.
