Here's a quick checklist to keep your tee's neck in shape:
- Wash in cold water, inside out, on a gentle cycle.
- Skip fabric softener; use a vinegar rinse if needed.
- Air dry or use low heat; remove while slightly damp.
- Never hang by the collar—lay flat or hang by the hem.
- Take the shirt off by the hem, not the collar.
If your tee's neck is already stretched, try steaming it. Hang the shirt in the bathroom while you take a hot shower, then gently pull the collar back into shape while it's damp. Or use an iron with steam and press the neckband—that can help the fibers contract a bit. It's not a miracle cure, but it can tighten things up.
Bottom line: cotton-poly blend tees are comfortable and easy to wear, but they need a little TLC to keep the neck from going baggy. Follow the checklist above, and you'll get more wear out of your tees before they start looking tired.
