You're heading to a festival, the sun's out, and you think, "I'll just leave my disposable in the car—it'll be fine." Then you come back four hours later, pick it up, and it's warm to the touch. That warmth is your e-liquid thinning out, and once it's thin, it leaks. Leaks ruin pockets, handbags, and the device itself.
A hot car can push the internal temperature well past what your vape was designed for. You don't need a thermometer to know this—if the inside of your car feels like a greenhouse, your vape is in trouble. The fix is simple: take your device with you, or if you must leave it, tuck it in a cooler spot like the glovebox (not the dash) and out of direct sun.
And if you've ever picked up a warm vape and taken a hit, you know the flavor is off. That's because heat also degrades the flavor compounds. So, rule one: never let your device bake.
