Whatever fit you choose, the same rules apply:
- Check the fabric weight. Look for 180 GSM or higher for a heavyweight tee that holds its shape. Lighter tees (150 GSM) are fine for summer but won't last as long.
- Look at the stitching. Double-needle stitching on the hem and sleeves is a sign of quality. If the seams look thin or wavy, move on.
- Cotton vs blend. 100% cotton is breathable but wrinkles easily. A cotton-poly blend resists wrinkles but may stretch at the neck (check out our guide on that if you're curious). For most people, a 60/40 cotton-poly blend is a good middle ground.
- Wash cold, hang dry. Heat breaks down elastic fibers and shrinks cotton. You'll extend the life of your tee significantly.
