We get it. Some weeks you barely have time to eat lunch, let alone babysit a drying rack. If you have to use the dryer, here's how to limit the damage:
- Use the lowest heat setting your dryer has. High heat is what causes most shrinkage and fades color.
- Pull the tees out while they're still slightly damp. Let them finish air-drying on a hanger or rack. This cuts down on shrinking and keeps the fabric from getting stiff.
- If you can, dry tees inside out. That protects the outer surface from friction and fading.
- Don't overload the dryer. Give the tees room to tumble freely, so they don't get wrinkled or stretched.
Even a few minutes of low heat followed by air-drying makes a big difference.
