You've run the checklist. Now how do you know it worked? Do a quick mental walkthrough from the recipient's perspective.

First, does the device power on immediately after unboxing? It should—you charged it. Second, does it fit where they'd naturally store it? Think about their jacket pocket, purse, or desk drawer. Third, is there a case with it? Even if they don't use it every day, having it there shows you considered their privacy.

If you can say yes to all three, you're good. If not, go back and fix the gap. It's not about being perfect—it's about being thoughtful.
