A lot of people think the airflow dial only changes how much vapor comes out. That's true, but it also changes how much oil gets pulled toward the coil. When it's hot, the oil is thinner, so a wide-open airflow can pull too much liquid into the heating chamber. That's when you get gurgling, spitting, and leaks. Tighter airflow means the draw is slower, and the oil has less chance to flood.
Think of it like a straw in a milkshake. On a hot day, the shake is runny. If you sip it with a wide straw, you get more liquid faster, and it's messier. A narrower straw slows things down. Same idea with your vape.
