Your commute isn't a lab. It's a moving environment with time pressure. That changes how you set airflow.
Match airflow to your draw length. A quick 3-second pull on a busy sidewalk calls for a slightly closed airflow. It gives you a denser hit faster. A longer, relaxed draw—say, while waiting for the train—can handle more air.
Use the resistance as a speedometer. If you're pulling hard and getting nothing, close the airflow. If you're coughing, open it a little. Your throat is the best sensor.
Set it before you leave. Fiddling with knobs while walking is a recipe for dropping your device. Spend 30 seconds at home to find the sweet spot for the day.
Clean the airflow path. Dust and pocket lint collect in the vents. A quick weekly wipe keeps airflow consistent. A clogged vent feels like a blocked draw, not a setting problem.
