Walk into any vape trade show or open a supplier's pitch deck, and you'll see the same thing: a slide that says "Lab Tested" with a generic certificate that could apply to any product. That's noise. It tells you nothing about the specific units you're about to order.
Another classic noise move is the "we test everything" claim. Sounds reassuring, but it usually means they tested one sample once, a year ago, and that sample was the best one they had. It's not fraud—it's just not useful.
Then there's the report that lists 500 substances with results like "ND" (not detected) for everything. That looks thorough, but if the lab isn't accredited or the methods aren't standard, those ND results are just fancy printouts.
Some suppliers will send a report that's clearly a template—the batch number is blank, the product name is generic, and the date is old. That's noise, too. It's not meant to deceive; it's meant to check a box.
