By lunch, you're knee-deep in spreadsheets and PDFs. Here's what you should be asking for:

• ATF registration proof – They should be on the ATF's list of registered tobacco manufacturers or importers. Ask for a copy.
• State licenses – If they ship to multiple states, they need to be authorized in each one. Ask for their list.
• Age-verification policy – How do they confirm buyers are 21+? Look for a written process that includes third-party verification or similar.
• Delivery tracking – They should be able to show how they ensure adult signature on delivery, not just drop packages at the door.

Don't accept verbal assurances. If they're legit, this paperwork exists.
