Is vaping safer than smoking?
Public Health England and the Royal College of Physicians have concluded that vaping is at least 95% less harmful than smoking. However, "less harmful" does not mean "safe." Vaping carries its own risks, and non-smokers should not start vaping. If you don't smoke or use nicotine, don't start vaping.
What nicotine strength should I start with?
If you smoke a pack or more per day, start with 5.0% (50mg/ml) nicotine salt. If you smoke less than half a pack per day, 3.0% (30mg/ml) or 2.0% (20mg/ml) may be enough. You can always adjust down — start strong enough to satisfy cravings, then gradually reduce if desired.
Why is my new vape leaking?
Leaking is usually caused by one of three things: (1) overfilling the pod — leave a small air gap at the top, (2) wrong e-liquid — thick high-VG e-liquids can cause wicking issues in small pod coils, (3) damage — check the pod seals and o-rings. Always store the device upright when not in use.
How long do pods/coils last?
A pod coil typically lasts 1–2 weeks for a moderate vaper (3–5ml per day). Signs it's time to replace: burnt taste, weaker flavor, less vapor production. Pre-filled pods are single-use and are thrown away when empty.
Can I bring a vape on a plane?
Yes — vaping devices and batteries must be carried in your carry-on luggage, not checked bags. E-liquid must follow the TSA 3-1-1 liquids rule (3.4oz / 100ml bottle in a quart-sized bag). Using a vape on the plane is prohibited by the FAA.
