⚠️ 8 Rules for Gifting Vape Products
- Never gift to minors. The federal minimum age is 21 in all US states. Gifting to someone under 21 is illegal.
- Make sure they actually use nicotine. Don't give nicotine products to someone who doesn't use them — you could be starting an addiction.
- Consider FDA-authorized products for gifts. FDA-authorized brands (Vuse, JUUL, NJOY) have met regulatory standards and feel more "legitimate" as gifts. See our complete FDA-authorized product list for all 48 authorized items.
- Don't assume their flavor preferences. If you're not sure what flavors they like, go with classic options (tobacco, menthol, mint) or get a variety pack.
- Include a gift receipt. Vape preferences are personal. Let them exchange it if it's not right.
- Know your state's laws. Some states ban flavored products or have other restrictions. Make sure the product you're gifting is legal in their state. Our state-by-state guide covers tax and flavor laws.
- Don't ship across state lines without knowing the rules. The PACT Act requires tax collection and age verification for cross-state vape shipments. Ordering from a retailer that handles compliance is the safest approach.
- Be sensitive about it. Not everyone wants their nicotine use advertised. Some people prefer discretion — consider a gift card or something subtle instead of wrapping a big vape box.
