Before You Buy
- Check the brand's official website for authorized retailer list
- Know the authentic retail price — if it's 30%+ cheaper, it's fake
- Only buy from: brand's official site, authorized vape shops, or licensed major retailers
- Avoid: gas stations, social media sellers, Amazon/eBay, unverified websites
When You Receive the Product
- Inspect packaging: print quality, color accuracy, spelling, barcode
- Find the authentication code: scratch-off or QR code on packaging
- Verify on the brand's official website (type the URL — don't trust QR links blindly)
- Check physical device: weight, build quality, material feel, LED color
- Test first puff: flavor matches brand signature? No chemical taste?
If You Suspect a Fake
- Stop using the device immediately
- Take photos of the packaging, device, and verification code result
- Return to the retailer and demand a refund (bring consumer protection law if needed)
- Report to the FDA Safety Reporting Portal (fda.gov/SafetyReport)
- Report to the brand's anti-counterfeit team
- See a doctor if you experience unusual symptoms
