Honestly, I think you're partly right.
A lot of people say older disposables tasted better and lasted longer. But I don't think it's as simple as “all the new ones are worse.”
The bigger issue is that there are now so many models, versions, and regional products that quality can vary a lot. A device that someone loves might be completely different from the one another person bought.
And let's be honest — nostalgia probably plays a part too. If you've been vaping for a few years, your taste has probably changed as well.
So I wouldn't say Elf Bar or Geek Bar is “bad” now. I'd say the old-school versions set a pretty high bar, and the newer products don't always live up to everyone's expectations.
